On August 24, 2018, the Council’s Executive Director provided a recommendation memo to the Council Chair, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), to approve the Florida State Expenditure Plan (SEP). This SEP, if approved by the Council Chair, would provide $291,180,000 in Spill Impact Component funding to support 69 projects spread across 23 coastal counties, including efforts to restore water quality and habitat, revitalize the Gulf economy, promote tourism, and replenish living coastal and marine resources.
