On August 10, 2022 (“Effective Date”), the Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council (Council) issued a general-applicability adjustment period waiver, for a duration of six months beginning on the Effective Date, of the requirements of the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) applicable to the Council’s activities. The Council determined that this waiver is in the public interest because it provides the Council with the time needed to review the applicability of BABAA to Council activities, develop additional waivers if needed, and, if necessary, begin establishing the processes and mechanisms necessary to address BABAA.
