On Wednesday, December 9, 2015, the Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council voted to approve a regulation implementing the Spill Impact Component of the RESTORE Act (33 U.S.C. § 1321(t)(3)). The regulation, when effective, will establish the formula for allocation of Spill Impact Component funds made available from the Gulf Coast Restoration Trust Fund among the Gulf Coast States of Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.
This proposed regulation, was available for public and Tribal review and comment through Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015.
